Ring size guide – How to find the right size
Would you like to give a ring as a gift but don't know the size?
Don't worry - you're not alone! Many customers face the same challenge. In this post we will show you simple and practical waysto determine the right ring size - without any guesswork.
Option 1: An existing ring as a scale
It's easiest if you already have a ring that fits. This is how you do it:
-
Place the ring on a ruler.
-
Measure the inside diameter (from inner edge to inner edge in mm).
-
Compare the value with our table:
| Inner diameter (mm) | Ring size (DE) |
|---|---|
| 15.9mm | 50 |
| 16.5mm | 52 |
| 17.2mm | 54 |
| 17.8mm | 56 |
| 18.4mm | 58 |
| 19.1mm | 60 |
| 19.7mm | 62 |
💡 Tip: If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one - this way the ring will be more comfortable to wear.
Option 2: With a ribbon or strip of paper
If you don't have a ring, this is how it works:
-
Take a narrow ribbon, a strip of paper, or a piece of string.
-
Wrap it tightly (but not too tightly) around the finger where you want the ring to sit.
-
Mark where the ends meet.
-
Measure the length in millimeters → that's yours Finger circumference → and therefore yours Ring size.
Tip: Measure your finger in the evening, when it is largest, and not in the cold (then the fingers shrink slightly).
Do you want to surprise someone?
If you can't ask the size directly (e.g. for a gift), we have a few tricks:
-
Discreetly ask friends or family members – they might know.
-
Borrow a ring without being noticed and measure it using our method.
-
If in doubt: choose one slightly larger size – a ring that’s too small won’t fit, but a ring that’s a little loose often will.
