Behind the scenes of Anoa: The story of Doreen, which inspired
When the sun slowly rises behind the mountains outside, her little son runs around the house laughing with the dachshund and she takes her first sip of lemon water - then the morning feels complete for her. After dropping her son off at school, she enjoys a coffee, sits down at the desk and starts her day with Anoa. “I love my work and this freedom – it’s a gift to be able to decide my own time,” she says with a beaming smile.
Courage that inspires
“My bravest move?” She thinks for a moment. "At the end of my 20s, I moved back to my hometown from Munich, joined forces with Steffi and joined Anoa. We had a shared office and shop for many years. After that, I moved out into the world - I traveled a lot and continued to work online for Anoa. Then I followed my heart to England - and ultimately found my home in the north-west of Mallorca."
This courage paid off: Today she lives with her family nestled between the mountains and the sea and fulfills herself with a job that not only makes her happy, but also gives women a smile every day through her jewelry.
Teamwork with heart
What does she contribute to Anoa's success? Above all, her perseverance, her determination, her economic perspective and a healthy grasp of reality. All of this helps her make the right decisions and keep an eye on what's important.
And what she particularly appreciates about Steffi: “What I love about her is that she never stops dreaming and is always full of ideas.”
This combination of down-to-earthness and creativity is reflected in every single piece of jewelry - especially in our Advent calendars for women, which we have put together with a lot of love and care. “We thought about every detail together, always with the thought of the women who open a little door every day and treat themselves to a little piece of joy.”
Big dreams
"In ten years, I hope that our company can still keep up with the big companies and that our jewelry remains timeless and minimalist. "Because what drives us are not quick trends, but real enthusiasm."
A nice example of this is ours timeless name necklace, which she wears every day – with her son’s name on it.

A small dream still remains: “To travel to Australia with my family one day and show them the places that I discovered many years ago and held so dearly to my heart,” she says with shining eyes.
Small moments, great joy
She has been particularly moved recently by her four-year-old son - he already speaks three languages. "I'm so happy for him and am grateful that we took the step to Spain. This means he can grow up right by the sea - just like my husband and I always dreamed of."
After strenuous days, she finds peace when she can unwind on the beach with a good podcast in her ear or a book. But she feels most alive with her family when they travel together to discover new places, countries and cultures.
